Home Care and Hospice

Boone Health Home Care is there for patients who have been discharged from the hospital, or other facility, while still needing close medical supervision. Other times, our home care services help when a doctor decides that a patient needs assistance but may not need to come to the hospital.

In addition, our home-based hospice services are available to patients when they and their physicians determine that a cure is no longer an option. We help patients with terminal illnesses that have life expectancies of six months or less. With hospice care, our focus is on maintaining quality of life by keeping patients pain free and comfortable as possible.

Home visits are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with around the clock on call nursing supervision. Our care professionals also provide in depth patient and caregiver materials, patient assessments and insurance verification assistance.

Hospice Care

Boone Health Home Care's Hospice Program offers patients and their families supportive care in the comfort of home. Our trained interdisciplinary team provides a full range of medical, physical, emotional, social and spiritual care. Our staff is trained in symptom management, pain control, counseling and bereavement. The Medical Director for the Hospice Program is Christopher Schiavo, MD.

Oxygen Therapy

Boone Health Home Care offers a full range of portability for home oxygen patients. We offer conserving devices for small tanks and long lasting small portable liquid oxygen.

Respiratory Services

Boone Health Home Care's integrated respiratory care services enhance quality of life. We provide respiratory equipment, supplies and services from skilled respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals.

Infusion Therapy

Boone Health Home Care's infusion service ensures that patients can receive intravenous medications in the comfort and convenience of home. Boone Health Home Care's trained nursing supervisors work with the attending physician to establish an optimal home care treatment plan, then bring that care home.
