Thanks to staff member who went “that extra mile”

Carolyn works in Boone Hospital’s Infusion and Treatment Center.
After a 92-year-old gentleman completed his IV hydration at 2:30 p.m., he was escorted to the door (garage door exit) via wheelchair where he assured the staff he could get to his car on his own since “it was just across the street.”
I stood and watched as another BHC staff person (leaving work for the day) assisted him slowly down the steps across two streets then to the far top end of the parking lot where his car was parked.
This individual went above and beyond what is expected of anyone working “just” a job. But once again it shows the dedication and compassion of the staff here at BHC.
I wish I knew the name of the staff member so I could give her a personal thank you for going that extra mile.
