Intensive Care nurse celebrates 40 years of service
Earlier this month at our Service Awards Banquet, we celebrated our staff who achieved 5, 10, 15, 20 or more years of service in 2013, recognized an employee with 40 years of service, announced our Employee of the Year and Leader of the Year, and presented a special lifetime achievement award to our vice president and chief operating officer, Randy Morrow.
This week, we’d like to share some videos with you about the people who make Boone Hospital Center a special place.
Sharon Monzyk
40 Years of Service
In 1973, Sharon Monzyk started her first day as a nurse in Boone County Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
Sharon has worked in the ICU for all 40 years, caring for patients and sharing her knowledge and expertise to educate hundreds of nurses. She comes to work every day with the same enthusiasm, humor and energy that she brought with her on Day One.
To serve patients for 40 years through countless changes in health care practices and technology shows great dedication and commitment to our hospital and our community. Thank you and congratulations, Sharon!
