Our 2013 Leader of the Year

Earlier this month at our Service Awards Banquet, we celebrated our staff who achieved 5, 10, 15, 20 or more years of service in 2013, recognized an employee with 40 years of service, announced our Employee of the Year and Leader of the Year, and presented a special lifetime achievement award to our vice president and chief operating officer, Randy Morrow.

This week, we’d like to share some videos with you about the people who make Boone Hospital Center a special place.

Andrea Fansler, Oncology
Leader of the Year

In Andrea Fansler’s six years at Boone Hospital Center, she has a record of producing top clinical quality scores in the units she manages. She accomplishes this by working alongside her staff as a team to care for our patients. Her commitment to her employees and to high-quality patient care, and her ability to truly listen and genuinely respond to patients, families and staff set an excellent example of leadership.

Andrea was recently selected to be the service line director for our oncology services, including the Stewart Cancer Center. We think Norm would appreciate her leadership style, too.
