7/23/15 – Howard County Skin Cancer Screening
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the U.S. Early awareness and detection can make a difference. A registered nurse will perform a free skin cancer screening. If anything potentially abnormal is suspected, you will be encouraged to see your personal health care provider or a specialist of your choosing for further examination. It is not the intention of this screening to diagnose abnormal moles or lesions.
- This is a full-body screening. Participants will be asked to remove clothing except undergarments and will be provided with a gown and shorts to wear during the screening.
- For ages 18 and older – no exceptions. To get a skin cancer screening for patients under 18, please contact your primary care provider
- Appointments required – no walk-ins. To register, call 573.815.6400
- Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
- You will receive a reminder call before your appointment, and you will receive a detailed letter before and after your appointment with additional information.
