COLUMBIA, Mo. – Boone Health’s Board of Directors has announced that Troy Greer, who has served as President and CEO since September 2020, will be stepping away from his position, effective April 21. Troy plans to return to Alabama to be closer to his family, a decision that the Board fully supports and understands.

During his tenure as President and CEO, Troy has played a pivotal role in the successful transition of Boone Health into an independent health care organization. The Board of Directors are grateful to announce that Gene Meyer has agreed to serve as the interim President and CEO at Boone Health until new leadership is in place.  Gene held an executive role at Boone Health in 2020 during our transition to an independent hospital and has a deep understanding of our operations, culture, and values.

The Board is committed to finding a leader who will continue to build on Boone’s progress and accomplishments, maintain the high standards of care our patients expect, and carry forward our vision of excellence.  The search process will begin immediately.

We wish Troy the very best in his future endeavors and thank him for his contributions to Boone Hospital.
