Licensed Practical Nurse
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) training is provided through Moberly Area Community College (MACC) or State Fair Community College (SFCC). This program is designed to prepare students for employment in a variety of care settings, including hospital, long-term care facility, home health and outpatient clinics. Students will learn skills in patient care which will qualify students to perform basic nursing functions while assisting licensed practical nurses or registered professional nurses.
MACC Classes
- Classes are in-person, 4-5 days per week
- Classes are offered at the Moberly and Mexico campus or at the Columbia Area Career Cetner
- The program consists of 12 months of training
MACC Prerequisites
- High School Diploma or GED
- Human Anatomy with a grade of C or higher; and Fundamentals of Math or equivalent or higher with a minimum grade of C or placement score for Transitional Algebra or higher
- TEAS-V exam composite score of 58% or higher
- MACC cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher
SFCC Classes
- Classes are in-person, 4-5 days per week
- Classes are offered at the Sedalia or Eldon campus
- The program consists of 18 months of training
