Hiam Rushdi, MD
Primary Care
Background
Dr. Hiam Rushdi is a family medicine physician who provides comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults. She earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua and Barbuda, completed her family medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Originally from the Maryland and Washington, D.C., area, Dr. Rushdi was drawn to the Midwest by its slower pace of life, natural beauty and strong sense of community. After visiting Columbia during the interview process, she felt immediately at home and knew Boone Health was the right place to begin her practice.
While she enjoys caring for patients across all stages of life, Dr. Rushdi has a particular interest in adult medicine. She is committed to building lasting relationships with her patients and believes quality care begins with listening. Dr. Rushdi strives to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing any concerns. She understands that many people seek care during vulnerable moments and is dedicated to ensuring each patient feels heard, respected and involved in their healthcare decisions.
Outside of work, Dr. Rushdi enjoys traveling, painting, and reading. She looks forward to exploring Columbia and discovering Missouri’s many outdoor destinations with visiting family and friends.
