The focus of the Boone Health Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is to provide excellent care to help patients maximize their functional independence after a life-changing injury or illness. We provide inpatient rehabilitation for patients that have had a life altering event such as a stroke, amputation, orthopedic procedure, neurological change, or any other medical condition impacting your ability to live your best life.

About Inpatient Rehabilitation
We are a 15-bed unit located within Boone Hospital Center. Our unit provides intensive and specialized medical and therapeutic services by a team of skilled professionals including physicians, registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, patient care technicians, social workers, and dietitians. By being located within Boone Hospital Center our patients also have access to any emergent and acute care services should they need them, without having to leave the facility.

While on Rehab, patients receive:
- 3 hours of therapy, 5 days a week
- 24/7 nursing care
- A minimum of 3 visits per week by the attending physician.
Appropriateness for admission to Inpatient Rehabilitation is evaluated on a case by case basis. Some of the more common conditions that bring patients to Rehab include:
- Stroke
- Amputation
- Cardiac Conditions
- Neurological Conditions
- Complex Orthopedic Conditions
