Testimonials

Getting my nursing license was one of the most difficult things I have ever done. It is also one of the most rewarding accomplishments I have ever made. The practical nursing program through MACC was such a great experience. The educators were always available to help, they encouraged us, and they genuinely cared about our future. I decided to get my practical nursing license so that I can work and get nursing experience while I work towards my RN. I have a family I have to care for, so I decided this was the best route.

I am a 2022 graduate of the Surgical Technologist program at MACC. My experience at MACC was remarkable. I could not have asked for a better instructor of the program. She had a great sense of humor and always put her students first. What’s nice about the Surgical Technologist program is that you graduate with an associate degree and also get the opportunity to take the certification exam for free to become certified after completing the program. Another benefit from this program was being able to do clinicals at 3 different locations: Boone Hospital, MU, and MOI.

I don’t think many people realize what a Surgical Technologist is and what we do, but it is a very crucial job in the operating room. Being attentive and organized is essential to succeed. We play incredibly important roles in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative stages.

I am employed at Boone Hospital and am excited to hear that Boone wants to begin a program with MACC for their current employees in which the hospital would pay for them to attend the Surgical Technology program. This program will be another addition to why I love Boone!
