Boone Health Volunteers
In April, during National Volunteer Week, Boone Health proudly celebrated the volunteers who give their time and energy to support our organization. Their service is vital to keeping Boone Health patient-centered and employee-focused, and we are grateful for the impact they make every day.
Boone Health is supported by over 100 active volunteers who serve throughout the hospital in Admissions, Central Supply, Comfort & Palliative Care, Emergency Department, Gift Shop, Greeter Services, Harris Breast Center, ICU Waiting Room, Lab, NICU, GI Lab, PASS, Pet Therapy, Postpartum, Spiritual Care, Surgery Waiting Room, and the Volunteer Office.
By supporting staff, nurses, and physicians across the hospital, volunteers allow care teams to stay focused on what matters most—our patients. Whether answering phones, helping NICU admit visitors into the unit, or bringing a furry friend to spread happiness, volunteers help ease stress for patients, families, and staff members, while providing meaningful support.
The impact of Boone Health volunteers is worth applauding:
- 9,700+ hours served from May 2025 – April 2026
- 380,500+ lifetime volunteer hours contributed
Boone Health invited volunteers to enjoy a breakfast celebration to thank them for their dedication and service throughout the hospital. The event included a welcoming message from Brady Dubois, CEO, and a beautiful prayer offered by Chaplain Kim Leon before volunteers enjoyed time together. It was a meaningful opportunity to recognize the invaluable role volunteers play at Boone Health.
