Spotlight: Boone Security
Boone Health is proud to recognize a team that works around the clock, often behind the scenes, to ensure Boone remains a safe, welcoming place for all: our Security team.
From the moment you walk through our doors, Boone Security is hard at work. Their responsibilities go far beyond what many might expect. Security officers complete regular foot patrols throughout the hospital and surrounding areas, monitor more than 560 CCTV cameras, and manage building access through ID badges, keys, and card readers. Together, these efforts help create a safe and secure environment for our staff, patients, and visitors.
But safety at Boone isn’t just about systems and surveillance. It is about service.
A Commitment to Service
Boone Health Security officers are often the first people to lend a helping hand. Whether they’re assisting patients in securing their belongings, providing directions through the hospital, or even helping with everyday needs like jump-starting a car or airing up a flat tire, their commitment to service is clear.
One of their most meaningful, and often unseen, impacts is serving as way finders. On a busy day in a large facility, simply knowing where to go can make all the difference. Security officers step in to guide patients, visitors, and even staff, helping reduce stress and ensuring everyone gets where they need to be safely and efficiently.
Ready When It Matters Most
While much of their work is proactive, Boone Security is also trained to respond quickly when situations escalate and highlights the critical role Security plays in protecting Boone Health’s campus community.
A Team That Makes a Difference
With a team of 16 dedicated officers, Boone Security plays an essential role in creating an environment where staff can focus on care, patients can feel at ease, and visitors feel supported.
Their motivation is simple but powerful. When people feel safe, outcomes improve. That guiding principle drives the team to deliver not only vigilant protection, but also compassionate, everyday support.
