Boone Health Earns Accreditation for Mastectomy Services 

Accreditation recognizes Boone Health’s commitment to quality, compassionate care for mastectomy patients 

Boone Health has earned accreditation from the American Board for Certification (ABC) in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics, Inc. for its mastectomy program. The accreditation recognizes Boone Health’s commitment to meeting established standards for quality and patient care while providing compassionate, personalized support to individuals following mastectomy surgery. 

“Accreditation is an important recognition of the quality and dedication our team brings to caring for patients throughout their breast cancer journey,” said Brady Dubois, president of Boone Health. “Our patients deserve access to knowledgeable, compassionate care at every stage of their treatment and recovery, and this accreditation reflects our ongoing commitment to providing that level of service.” 

ABC is a national, independent nonprofit organization that establishes standards for patient care facilities and accredits organizations providing orthotic, prosthetic, pedorthic and mastectomy services. ABC’s mastectomy accreditation program is designed for facilities that provide care and services related to post-mastectomy breast prostheses and accessories. 

For individuals who have undergone a mastectomy, breast prostheses and related products can play an important role in comfort, confidence and recovery. Boone Health’s accredited mastectomy program helps patients access these resources with support from knowledgeable health care professionals who understand the unique needs that can follow breast surgery. 

To earn accreditation, Boone Health’s mastectomy program underwent an evaluation to ensure compliance with ABC’s established accreditation standards. The process is designed to promote high standards of patient care and organizational practices and to support the delivery of safe, effective services.
