Dr. Sonya Addison Appointed to State Advisory Council

Congratulations to Dr. Sonya Addison of Boone Health Diabetes & Endocrinology on her appointment to Missouri’s Advisory Council on Rare Diseases and Personalized Medicine. According to a recent appointment letter from the Missouri Department of Social Services, Dr. Addison has been selected to serve a four-year term on the council, effective September 23, 2026.

The Advisory Council plays an important role in helping advance awareness, policy recommendations, and healthcare initiatives related to rare diseases and personalized medicine across Missouri. Dr. Addison’s expertise in endocrinology and patient care will help contribute valuable insight to the council’s work.

In a letter announcing the appointment, Jessica Bax, Director of the Missouri Department of Social Services, thanked Dr. Addison for her willingness to serve and for her dedication to helping Missouri residents.
