Vascular Imaging
Vascular Ultrasound Imaging
Boone’s Vascular Imaging Lab provides comprehensive diagnostic vascular ultrasound imaging in a convenient outpatient setting. These studies evaluate blood flow in the arteries and veins to identify narrowing, aneurysms, and chronic venous conditions. Vascular ultrasound uses sound waves to assess circulation in real time. It is safe, non-invasive, and does not require radiation or IV contrast. We provide diagnostic ultrasound studies only. We do not perform CT or CTA imaging, cardiac testing, interventional procedures, or emergency services.
Vascular Ultrasound Services
Carotid Artery Ultrasound
Evaluation of the carotid arteries to assess for narrowing (stenosis) that may increase stroke risk.
Carotid/Coronary/Renal Stents
Stents are small expandable tubes used to treat narrowed or weakened arteries. This procedure is performed with local anesthesia and mild sedation and involves no major incisions.
Intravascular Ultrasound
Intravascular Ultrasound involves attaching a small ultrasound wand to the end of a catheter. This procedure is normally done in conjunction with coronary catheterization and stent placement.
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Surveillance
Ultrasound imaging to monitor enlargement of the abdominal aorta.
Lower Extremity Arterial Studies
Arterial duplex ultrasound and Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) testing to evaluate leg pain, poor circulation, or peripheral artery disease.
Venous Insufficiency / Chronic Venous Hypertension
venous reflux studies to assess varicose veins and venous circulation disorders.
Dialysis Access Evaluation
Pre-procedure vein mapping for AV fistula or graft planning and Ultrasound evaluation of existing AV fistulas and grafts to assess flow and function
