Boone Health EBP and Best Practice Symposium
On Thursday, October 24, 2024, Boone Health will host our inaugural EBP & Best Practice Symposium: Knowing the Best to Be the Best. This conference is designed to open the door to sharing evidence-based and best practices on all areas focused on improving the health outcomes of patients and supporting the strategic initiatives of healthcare organizations.
We invite registered nurses, practitioners, specialists, educators, nursing students, and nurse leaders to submit abstracts aligned with strategic initiatives that are important and applicable to healthcare in the following areas: People, Quality, Growth, Finance. Posters may include quality improvement, process improvement, evidence-based practice, best practice, or research projects. Abstract submission should relate to one or more of the conference goals.
Nursing Scholarship
The Nursing Scholarship at Boone Health is a financial award in the amount of $5,000 provided by the Boone Hospital Foundation. The award is paid directly to the college/university in divided amounts for the remainder of the semesters of coursework for the scholarship recipient.
Student Nurse Apprenticeship Program
The Student Nurse Apprenticeship Program (SNAP) allows nursing students in their senior practicum/preceptorship/capstone with the opportunity to earn wages as a Nurse Apprentice while completing hours as required by their nursing program.
Nursing Externship
Learn more about our nursing externship where the nurse extern is guided by a nurse mentor who oversees his/her experience in the various clinical settings.
Nursing Residency
This year-long program uses both classroom learning and on-the-job experiences to help you build upon your existing clinical skills, feel more engaged as a partner on your health care team, and strengthen your commitment to nursing.
Flexible Scheduling
Boone Health's flexible staffing program offers a variety of staffing options at different pay premiums, some with the potential to earn more than $40 per hour.
